I long for you:
the snowflakes kiss
my eyelids
and layer white
on white
by my feet.
How you sparkle
all about me,
how these lights
twinkle
as they fall;
the long days,
the nights,
everyone but me
breathing deeply;
there you are —
under the silence
your hushed gaze.
